An important first step in a woman’s pregnancy planning is pre-conceptual counseling with your OB/GYN. Pre-conceptual counseling takes place with your doctor during routine physical examinations to help identify medical issues and history that can effect a woman’s pregnancy, and how best to proceed for the healthiest journey possible. Medical issues which your doctor may check for include hypertension and diabetes, along with any medication regimen a woman may be on prior to pregnancy.
