Jersey Shore University Medical Center Pediatric Emergency Department

Located on the first floor of the Northwest Pavilion is Jersey Shore’s Pediatric Emergency Department. In our child friendly waiting area, we provide reassurance to our littlest patients with a separate lobby and treatment area just for them. A special pediatric emergency team is on duty from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. to meet the most urgent needs. Jersey Shore University Medical Center is the state designated Level II Trauma Center for adults and children in the region, providing expertise and specialty capabilities unavailable at any other hospital in Monmouth or Ocean County.

Riverview Pediatric Care Center

The new Pediatric Care Center at Riverview Medical Center offers your child enhanced medical care in an environment specifically designed to meet the unique medical needs of children. Plus, our specialized medical team, skilled at caring for children, sees and treats every child in a timely fashion.

The Pediatric Care Center at Riverview provides:

• Private observation rooms/short stay rooms

Ocean Pediatric Emergency Center

The Pediatric Emergency Center at Ocean Medical Center is a private and comfortable area adjacent to the emergency department that is staffed with board certified, emergency trained physicians and pediatric nurses. These individuals have the experience and expertise to provide the specialized care that children require, treating newborns and kids up to 18 years old. The Pediatric Emergency Center is available seven days a week during the busiest hours, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This compliments the emergency services we provide to children and adults 24 hours a day.

Southern Ocean Medical Center Pediatric Emergency Department

The Emergency Department regularly handles hundreds of pediatric emergencies every month and features a specialized pediatric treatment room that helps reduce the trauma children may feel during a visit to the emergency room. The physicians and nurses working in the Emergency Department are specially trained for pediatric medical emergencies and help calm children while providing compassionate, state-of-the-art care. In addition, our pediatricians respond to pediatric emergencies that arrive in the Emergency Department.
